Meet Kim

A Passion for Facilitating RESET

My name is Kim and I am passionate about facilitating the journey of RESET! For over 20 years, I have gained invaluable experience in counselling, inner healing and teaching in a variety of settings.

Apart from working as a Counsellor in both Primary and High Schools, I have run my own counselling practice in the Eastern Cape. I was registered with the Council for Counsellors South Africa as a Registered Counsellor, but have since elected to work independently as a Christian Counsellor.

For four years, I lived as a Missionary in Asia, during which time I thoroughly enjoyed being part of multicultural teams travelling through various Eastern countries doing healing and evangelism ministry. Aside from counselling, I am currently involved with discipleship and training.

I believe that we are Body, Soul and Spirit — and therefore my ministering style is integrative, incorporating the use of various tools suited to each individual's journey.

Beracah Cottage on the Farm

Set on a beautiful, tranquil farm in the Eastern Cape, Sparkling Forest is a place where God's creation speaks — wide open skies, fresh air, birdsong, and the gentle rhythm of farm life creating the perfect backdrop for rest and renewal.

Our retreat accommodation, Beracah Cottage, offers a safe, comfortable, and peaceful setting. Whether you come for a soul care retreat or simply to be alone with God, you'll find space to breathe and be still.

A deeply personal retreat experience — time set apart to refresh and refocus your soul. Ideal for those seeking inner healing, direction, and a renewed sense of God's love.

This retreat is facilitated by Kim — a qualified and experienced Christian counsellor.

Open to All

Solitude Reset

A quiet retreat for those who simply need time alone with God — no structured sessions, no agenda. Just you, the Lord, and the beauty of the farm.

  • Time alone with no structured sessions
  • Option to go 'wi-fi free' — remove all distractions
  • Optional use of a manual to guide your time
  • Access to the farm for walks and runs in a safe setting

Available for those over 18 years of age staying independently at Beracah Cottage.

Retreat Policies

Complete privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times, except in cases where harm to self or others is disclosed.
Children under 13 are not accommodated. For those under 18, signed parental consent is required.
An appropriate adult must be present on the premises during any counselling of those under 18.
Retreat guests are required to sign an indemnity form upon arrival. Right of Admission is reserved.

Integrative Christ-Centred Care

Counselling sessions can take place in person on the farm, or may be arranged at another suitable location. Each session is approached with prayer, compassion, and complete confidentiality.
